THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Fleet Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer focus, attention to detail, and the ability to manage transport operations efficiently and safely.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain absolute customer focus through clear communication, accurate tracking, and proactive updates.

  • Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally in collaboration with internal teams.

  • Manage journey planning, financial control, and driver cash flow to ensure smooth operations.

  • Oversee fuel allocation and accounting in line with company procedures.

  • Conduct trip briefings and debriefings within 24 hours of load/offload and ensure compliance with company standards.

  • Monitor disciplinary issues, driver handovers, and deductions with relevant managers.

  • Report vehicle faults and lead thorough accident/incident investigations with relevant departments.

  • Diligently monitor trips and vehicle tracking to prevent delays and ensure adherence to journey management protocols.

  • Accurately update SAP and TMS management systems in a timely manner.

  • Ensure full compliance with legal requirements and proper documentation for invoicing.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent vocational experience in Transport/Logistics.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Strong computer literacy and experience using online management systems (SAP/TMS preferred).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional administrative and organizational abilities.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • LEAN Six Sigma Certification

  • Project Management

  • Business Management

  • Safety Management
