Responsibilities of the job

  • To ensure smooth and planned offloading of trucks within 24 hours of arrival at the mines
  • To ensure that a full set of stamped Proof Delivery (POD) is sent through to project/transit controllers within 24 hours
  • To ensure that trucks are loaded 24 hours from the day they are available on site for loading
  • To ensure that all trucks are within legal weight limits (axle and GVM) before dispatch from the mines
  • To ensure that the cargo on every truck is well secured before dispatch from site
  • To ensure that drivers have proper truck documentation and signage before dispatch
  • To ensure that all trucks are in convoy and are being escorted at the time of dispatch

Candidate's requirements

  • High School (A level) or equivalent
  • Min. 3 years of professional experience
  • English, Swahili and French speaker
  • Residing in Lubumbashi for Lubumbashi role
  • Residing in Kolwezi for Kolwezi role
  • Basic computing skills
  • Eloquent in speech
  • Worked in any of the mines before,  either through direct employment or through a supplier
