Accountabilities & Responsibility Areas
1.Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage tyre stock levels across all locations to ensure availability and optimal stock turnover.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies in tyre inventory.
- Implement inventory control systems and best practices to maintain accurate records of tyre quantities, sizes, and brands.
2.Procurement:
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to source high-quality tyres at competitive prices.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with tyre vendors to secure favourable terms and conditions.
- Forecast tyre demand and place timely orders to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Oversee the proper handling and storage of tyres to prevent damage and ensure compliance with safety standards.
3.Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze tyre performance data, including wear patterns, life cycles, and usage trends, to inform purchasing decisions and inventory management strategies.
- Prepare regular reports on tyre stock levels, procurement activities, and financial performance related to tyre management.
- Utilize data to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
4.Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and train a team of tyre management staff at each location to ensure adherence to company standards and policies.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to understand tyre requirements and align inventory accordingly.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
5.Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards related to tyre management and safety.
- Promote safe working practices in all tyre handling and storage operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in tyre technology and management practices.
Accountabilities & Responsibility Areas
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tire management, inventory control, or logistics in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of tire products, specifications, and market trends.
- Proven experience in procurement and vendor management.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in inventory management software, Smartsheet’s, Fleet Maintenance Pro and SAP.
- Strong leadership abilities and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and travel between locations as required.
