ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Supervise warehouse staff and daily activities.
Manage, evaluate and report on warehouse productivity.
Coordinate freight movement of cargo.
Order supplies and maintain suitable inventory levels.
Maintain records, report relevant information and prepare any necessary documentation.
Perform daily thorough inspection of the warehouse grounds and alert management of any issues.
Ensure equipment is properly maintained
Communicate and coordinate with other departments.
Ensure high maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Perform any other tasks as may be required by the Head of Operations and/or Directors.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in port, customs and export regulations in Tanzania
High school, tertiary education in logistics/shipping an advantage
Minimum 3-5 years experience
Previous experience in a supervisory position
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
Ability to work effectively with different cultures.
Strong personality and communication skills to execute tasks within a required time
Strong communication and administration skills.
Self-motivation, leadership and management skills
Very clear, transparent and open communication to direct and upper management
Ability to use electronic office software, word, excel, email
