Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Operations
Manage daily Warehousing Operations at multiple sites, including receiving, storing and shipping of metals and minerals
Optimize Warehouse layout and storage systems for different types of materials
Implement and maintain inventory management systems
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
Coordinate with Commercial, Ocean Freight, Road Freight and Clearing & Forwarding Teams
Supervise and manage warehouse employees
Manage equipment maintenance and facility upkeep
Develop and implement process improvements
Prepare reports on inventory levels, warehouse performance and productivity
Budgeting, review and approval of project expenses
Identifying, creating and maintaining relationships with suitable vendors and other stakeholders in the industry

Commercial
Commercial lead for local integrated service clients (IXM, Citic, Lindi Jumbo, Gerald Metals, Samsung, etc.)
Review and approval of client invoices
Management of the establishment and documenting standard operating procedures and key performance indicators for handling and ocean freight operations
General Management
Recruitment, training and development, and appraisal of warehousing staff
Management and training of the facilitation of the ocean freight process, from rate negotiation, vessel booking and preparation of shipment documents
End-to-end supply chain management projects coordination (CIF, CFR export projects)
HSSEQ monitoring and management for handling operations and stock management
Monitoring of regulatory, competitive, and operational environment for warehousing activity
IT Related
Warehouse management system implementation and maintenance
Warehousing dashboards implementation and developing documentation and reporting templates for cargo handled

Skills:
Team leadership

Relationship management (vendor, client and internal)
Excellent understanding of local business environment
Excellent understanding of regulatory framework
Knowledge of involved stakeholders and how they interact
In-depth understanding of import, export and transit clearance for LCL loads
In depth understanding of terminal documentation processes
Process oriented

Qualifications:
A minimum of University Graduate Degree in any relevant discipline
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Warehousing operations
LEAN SIX SIGMA (Desirable)
Project Management (Desirable)
Business Management (Desirable)
Safety Management (Desirable)
