Accountabilities & Responsibility Areas

  • Ensuring clearing takes place as per the time KPIs by closely supervising the current status of shipments and prompting the Declaration team to take the next step.
  • Ensure trucks are cleared from the entry points/border as per the KPI.
  • Manage License/Certificates renewals.
  • Engaging ZRA on escalating matters affecting clearance of shipments.
  • Monitor the SS reports for shipments under clearance and ensure they’re updated on time and accurately.
  • Transit Bond management - Ensure the bond is validated immediately after the truck exits the border to avoid penalties.
  • Work closely with the Road Freight team to monitor the movement of RIT trucks and proactively raise escalations on potential risks of account suspension.
  • Proper record management of cleared shipments for potential audits.
  • Other assigned tasks.
Education Skills and Qualifications
  • Customer-focused approach with a professional attitude.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills. 
  • Good communication skills .
  • Ability to work under pressure.  
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and motivate a team of 5+ 
  • Excellent in Microsoft Office applications especially in Excel. 
  • Experience in Customs/border clearance at a senior level.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:20 AM – 4:20 PM, and Alternate Saturdays, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
