Hours: Monday to Friday plus alternate Saturday mornings
Job Summary
We are looking for a Commercial Associate (Sandton) to enhance the customer experience and grow our client portfolio across the SADC region.
Overall Purpose
- To focus on the customer experience and develop key relationships with SA-based clients
- To promote continual improvement, humility, and safety across the Group
- Maintain and update pricing database/customer database
- Consolidate information for preparation of the end-of-month newsletters and reports
- Prepare and propose sales quotations to management and follow up for approval
- Analyzing trip costs financials to improve profitability for the fleet
- Identifying and applying for tenders/ business opportunities
- Assist the finance and BD team on any purpose when needed
Formal Training/Education/ Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role (ideally in the logistics sector)
- Formal qualifications in logistics/supply chain preferred
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
- Strong background in Excel
- Confident in working with numbers
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and arithmetic skills
- Self-motivation, leadership, and innovation
- Excellent written English and conversational Mandarin is considered an advantage
- Committed to completing tasks with efficiency
